Bulls G Coby White (calf) to miss at least two weeks

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White will miss Wednesday's season opener and is expected to be out at least two weeks with a right calf strain.
White suffered the injury in August, limiting his participation in training camp and causing him to miss all preseason games.
The 25-year-old has returned to on-court basketball activities, the team announced Monday in a medical update posted on X. He will next be evaluated in two weeks.
White averaged 20.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 74 games last season for the Bulls, who chose him with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
He is entering his seventh season with the Bulls and is in the final season of a three-year, $36 million deal signed in 2023. He has career averages of 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 422 games (225 starts).
The Bulls tip off the regular season Wednesday against the visiting Detroit Pistons as they look to improve on last year's 39-43 season. Chicago hasn't made the playoffs since 2022.
