Buzzer-Beater Celebration Runs Over Recently Vanquished, Mascot Tries To Console Him

As far as buzzer-beaters go, this is OK, I guess. Nothing quite like last week's, but still: it's a buzzer-beater. On Saturday, Batavia picked off Olean in the New York Class B western regional on a mad-dash last possession ending in a desperation three. What makes this one special is how the shot—from recent JV call-up Jeff Redband—sends several members of the Olean squad to the ground in stunned disbelief and then, as you watch Batavia celebrate, you can see what's going to happen. And then it does happen. And then Batavia's mascot gives the poor guy a quick "there, there" pat on the head before joining in the celebration.
