Denver NFL Beat Guy Caught On Twitter Dictating The Flow Of Information
Photo: Joe Robbins/ [object Object] Mike Klis of 9News tweeted a little while ago that the Broncos are expected to kick the tires on bad NFL quarterback and former salary dump Brock Osweiler. What he tweeted next—and immediately deleted—sure as hell looked like instructions to stiff-arm his competition:
“Nicki” in this case is Nicki Jhabvala, the Broncos beat writer for the Denver Post, who tweeted her own suspicions about Denver’s potential interest in Osweiler literally in the same minute as Klis’s sourced update:
Jhabvala noticed Klis’s deleted tweet, and took the high road:
This was very clearly a DM gone bad, meant to go from Klis to whoever confirmed his reporting on the team’s interest in Osweiler. Klis all but confirmed this minutes later:
If only Osweiler had this kind of ability to manipulate coverage.
