Tua Tagovailoa has been dealing with hip and left thumb injuries this week, but the Miami Dolphins aren't worried about his availability for Week 6.

Tagovailoa was listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report, and Thursday's had yet to be published as of 5:15 p.m. local time. But Miami offensive coordinator Frank Smith downplayed his quarterback's health concerns before the Dolphins play the Los Angeles Chargers.

"Ultimately he's working through stuff for the week, and we're not overall concerned for Sunday," Smith told reporters Thursday. "We're working through the process to Sunday, but I mean, we're not anticipating any setback for him for playing on Sunday."

Tagovailoa, 27, played all 17 games in just one of his first five NFL seasons due to multiple concussions and other injuries. A concussion and a hip injury kept him out of six games last year.

Through five games this season, Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,008 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 70.7 percent of his attempts. But Miami has struggled to a 1-4 start, and it has lost star receiver Tyreek Hill for the year to a major knee injury.

Zach Wilson is Tagovailoa's primary backup this season. Seventh-round draft pick Quinn Ewers is also on the roster.
