Matt Harvey Is Not Bitter Toward The Mets At All, No Sir
credits: Jim McIsaac | source: [object Object] The lowly Reds are taking on the even lowlier Mets Monday night, for the start of a three-game series. The occasion marks the return of Matt Harvey to New York, for the first time as a member of a visiting club. The Mets, perhaps feeling some regret over the way Harvey’s time as a Met ended, put together a lovely little tribute video:
Possibly the Mets would’ve made the video entirely out of clips of Harvey getting shelled if they’d put the thing together any more recently than yesterday, when Harvey reportedly burned the team in delightfully petty fashion:
Having gotten that passive-aggressive strike out of his system, Harvey took the high road in the 4 p.m. presser Monday, saying he harbors no bitterness at all toward the Mets, and chalking up most of what went wrong in the relationship to injuries and his own mistakes:
Harvey comes across as mature and reasonable here, but just wait until the next time he and the Mets are sitting next to each other on an airplane and the Mets try to get a little of that armrest. Denied!
