Falcons Score Wacky Hot Potato Touchdown
The Atlanta Falcons earned a 28-21 lead over the Oakland Raiders with an eight-yard pass from Matt Ryan that took quite a journey to get to wide receiver Justin Hardy.
Ryan’s pass was originally intended for Falcons running back Tevin Coleman, but the ball popped into the air after Raiders linebacker Malcolm Smith wrapped him up. Hardy found himself in the right place, jumped up, and scored.
The Falcons walked away with a 35-28 victory. Matt Ryan’s no stranger to watching his passes flipped into the hands of an unintended receiver, but this time, it gave his team the win.
