Former Chargers Safety Commits Suicide
Paul Oliver, a former NFL safety who played the majority of his career with the San Diego Chargers, killed himself at the age of 29.
Oliver was found in his Georgia home Tuesday night. According to police, the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Taken by the Chargers in the 2007 supplemental draft, Oliver played three seasons for the Chargers. He hadn't played on an NFL team since 2011.
The reason for Oliver's suicide is unknown.
