German Keeper Manuel Neuer Spazzes Out, Recovers Nicely

This could have been so very bad for the Germans, but Manuel Neuer was able to collect himself after nearly Hagerup-ing the ball with two Ghana players right there.

The match went from 0-0 to 2-2 in 20 minutes, so it wouldn't have been out of character for this to somehow turn into a scoring opportunity. Luckily for Germany (and the U.S.), the Ghana side did not notice and Neuer was able to collect the ball and boot it safely away, preserving a 2-2 final.

That momentary feeling of panic, though, must have been excruciating. Like when you almost drop your phone on the concrete sidewalk and then catch it. Except, you know, with the entire world watching and national glory at stake.
