Guardians-Nationals rained out; doubleheader Tuesday

Instead, the teams will play a traditional doubleheader on Tuesday beginning at 3:35 p.m. local time. The second game will follow about 30 minutes after the end of the first.
The Nationals and Guardians were set to open a three-game interleague series that concludes Wednesday afternoon. The Guardians (20-14) are second in the American League Central while the Nationals (16-19) are in a virtual tie with the Atlanta Braves (15-18) for third in the National League East entering the week.
Pitching plans for the doubleheader were not yet announced. Guardians right-hander Luis Ortiz (2-3, 4.78 ERA) was supposed to face Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin (2-1, 4.01) on Monday.
