Hazeltine chosen as site of 2026 Women's PGA Championship

Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn., will be the site of the 2026 Women's PGA Championship.

"Hazeltine has proven to be an elite host site that attracts spectators from across the country as well as Canada to our championships," said John Lindert, president of the PGA of America, in a news release announcing the selection on Tuesday. "We are excited to bring the best women golfers in the world back to Minnesota."

The Women's PGA Championship was held at Hazeltine in 2019 when Australian Hannah Green finished at 9-under 279 for a one-stroke victory for her first major championship.

It previously has been the site of the 2002 and 2009 PGA Championships and the 2016 Ryder Cup.

Hazeltine is scheduled to host the 2029 Ryder Cup, making it the first U.S. site to hold the competition twice. The Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed course was founded in 1962.

The 2024 Women's PGA Championship will be held June 20-23 at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash., with the 2025 event at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.
