Hey, Cristiano Ronaldo Scored A Pretty Cool Goal!

Well, well, would you look at this. Global icon, all-time soccer great, and technological marvel (seriously, how did they make this android so convincingly human that it takes a solid 10 minutes or so of listening to him before you realize he was “born” in an evil scientist’s underground bunker?) Cristiano Ronaldo took a break from scoring a whole bunch of unexciting goals to actually score a cool-looking one:

Granted, it was against the Faroe Islands—not exactly 2008 Spain, or even 2016 Iceland for that matter—and he was given an obscene amount of time and space to size up and thwack home that shot, but still. This was much better viewing than any of the four he knocked past Andorra a couple days ago (though for one of them, he did jump real real high, which isn’t nothing):
