Wilson, a native of nearby Thousand Oaks, Calif., hit the fourth and fifth home runs of his career while finishing with his 16th multi-hit game this season. Nick Kurtz, Miguel Andujar and JJ Bleday also hit home runs for the Athletics.
Springs (5-3) gave up one run on six hits as the A's continued their success on the road while improving to 14-7 as the visitor. They are 8-13 in the first season at their temporary home in West Sacramento, Calif.
Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts combined to go 0-for-6 at the top of the Dodgers' order. Freddie Freeman went 0-for-3 after just being named National League Player of the Week when he went 14-for-28 with three home runs over the recent seven-game road stretch.
Dodgers starter Landon Knack (2-1) was roughed up for five runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings with one walk and eight strikeouts. Knack was recalled last week with three members of the Opening Day rotation now on the injured list.
The A's took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Kurtz doubled with one out and Wilson hit a home run off Knack to left field.
A Wilson error at shortstop on a Betts ground ball in the bottom of the third allowed the Dodgers to cut the deficit in half.
Wilson was at it again in the fifth inning when he hit a home run to center off Knack two batters after a Luis Urias single. The A's added two more runs in the inning on a double to left by Lawrence Butler for a 6-2 lead.
Andujar and Bleday not only had RBI singles in the seventh inning, they hit back-to-back home runs in the ninth off Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas, who was called in on mop-up duty. Andujar finished with three hits.
