Mandatory Credit: Jeff Curry-Imagn Images Jet Greaves made 31 saves to lead the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets past the St. Louis Blues, 2-1, on Saturday night.
Adam Fantilli and Cole Sillinger scored for the Blue Jackets, who won their fourth straight game.
Colton Parayko scored and Jordan Binnington made 28 saves for the Blues, who lost for the third time in four games.
Parayko's goal came on the power play with 10.5 seconds left in the third period to spoil Greaves' bid for his first career shutout.
The Blue Jackets started fast while building a quick 5-0 edge in shots. They sustained pressure and finally broke through with Fantilli's goal with 4:22 left in the first period. Fantilli got behind Parayko to take a pass from Kirill Marchenko and beat Binnington one-on-one for a 1-0 lead.
The game's pace picked up in the second period, with the teams exchanging strong scoring chances.
Alexey Toropchenko failed to convert a stuff shot for the Blues less than four minutes into the frame, then Greaves stopped Pavel Buchnevich's blast from the left wing.
Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski later fired a shot off the post on a two-on-one rush.
Sillinger's power-play goal doubled the Blue Jackets' lead to 2-0 with 3:09 left in the second period. From behind the net, James van Riemsdyk passed to Sillinger, who was wide open at the right post before tallying his marker.
Each team then had one power play before the end of the second period. During those opportunities, Greaves stopped Jake Neighbours' point-blank shot and Binnington saved Marchenko's shot from the slot.
Greaves made a glove save moments into the third period when Buchnevich broke in alone while short-handed. Later, Greaves denied Dylan Holloway's attempted reach-around shot and Philip Broberg's shot from below the right circle.
With Binnington pulled for an extra attacker, the Blues applied pressure and got the late goal from Parayko.
