Johnny Manziel Files For "Johnny Cleveland" Trademark
Now that Johnny Manziel knows he'll be starting the season on the sideline, he's able to focus more of his energy on brand protection. To that end, ESPN reports Manziel recently filed the paperwork to trademark "Johnny Cleveland," apparently the next nickname he's trying to make happen—or make sure no one else profits from.
According to Darren Rovell, this is only one of 10 trademarks Manziel, through his company "JMan2," has filed for. There is of course "Johnny Football," but we also have "JFF," "ManzIIiel," and "The House That Johnny Built" (referring to Texas A&M's newly updated stadium). No word on if "Johnny Bench" or "Johnny Clipboard" are on the list, though.
