Kenny Britt Posted The Fine He Got From The Titans On Instagram
Titans receiver Kenny Britt has had eight run-ins with the law since being drafted three years ago. He just met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday to discuss a DUI he recently got somehow at a military installation, and the Titans' patience with him appears to be wearing thin. Britt has had arthroscopic surgery on both knees in the past year, and the team drafted Kendall Wright in the first round, as good an indication as any that this may be Britt's last chance.
The Titans also appear to be quick to punish Britt for even the most minor infractions, which is why the fined him nearly $10k for his "unexcused missed mandatory scheduled appointment w/ club trainer." But rather than digest the message, Britt chose yesterday to spit it back out on Instagram (click to enlarge), along with some commentary that's been edited by the : "Yu gotta be (expletive) kidding me.. walk back to dis.. Don't dey know I have kids .. I'm tired of did (expletive)." Britt has since made his Instagram account private, but we're kinda with him on this one. $9,915? How the (expletive) did the Titans come up with that figure?
Update (12:24 p.m.): Vikings punter Chris Kluwe dusts off his copy of the CBA to let us know down in the discussion that $9,915 is the maximum fine permitted for missing an appointment with a team trainer. Still raises the question of why that's the number, though.
