Kevin Ware Is Transferring From Louisville
Almost one year ago today, Kevin Ware became a household name as the Louisville player who suffered quite possibly the most stomach-turning injury ever recorded. Ware exited the court on a stretcher during Louisville's eventual win over Duke to advance to the 2013 Final Four. With Ware as a rallying point, the Cardinals went on to beat Wichita State in the semifinal and Michigan in the final. Following Louisville's exit from this year's Tournament, Ware announced that he plans on transferring.
Ware returned to action in an exhibition game in November, but played only 53 total minutes in nine games this season before opting to red shirt in December. According to ESPN, he wants to transfer somewhere closer to his Georgia home and possible landing spots include Auburn and Georgia State. Ware was a one-time Tennessee commit, back when current Auburn coach Bruce Pearl coached the Volunteers.
