Larry Nance Jr. Graciously Gives Up Seat To Lost Old Man
Lakers rookie Larry Nance Jr. should be recognized for his generosity during last night’s game against the Mavericks. What he did was simply inspiring.
An aging man in a suit wandered onto the floor of Staples Center, but instead of waving the decrepit old-timer away, the Lakers’ bench welcomed him. Nance Jr. took a spot on the floor so this member of the elderly community could have a seat.
The Lakers let him stay as long as he wanted, even treating him like he was one of their teammates. When the Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki sank the game-winner, the elder even got to pat the star on the butt.
What an amazing effort by both teams to make this man feel like he belonged anywhere near a court. Larry Nance Jr. and the Lakers are truly good guys.
