Local Reporter Captures USMNT Game-Winner Live, Has Priceless Reaction

KGW in Portland had reporter Drew Carney set up at a beer garden during USA's game against Ghana for some live shots and interviews from the gathered crowd. In a perfect bit of timing, the station just so happened to kick it to Carney moments before John Brooks scored the goal that gave Team USA a 2-1 win. It's tremendous.

A couple of things. First, the reaction itself is great. There's yelling and jumping and patriotism, it's a very spirited celebration. Second, the poor guy Carney is interviewing missed the damn goal because he was being interviewed and looking away from the TV. Third, and absolutely the best of all, Carney's reaction. He slowly unzips his jacket to reveal a Team USA shirt. Heroic.
