Lorde Finally Met George Brett

We learned last year that Lorde's star-making single "Royals" was inspired by this 1976 photo of George Brett. Worlds re-collided in Las Vegas last night, where Lorde's camp had invited Brett to come hang out before her show.

Brett had previously been invited to the Kansas City stop on Lorde's North American tour, but couldn't clear his schedule. Instead he sent her a signed jersey, inscribed "Lorde, you are Royal to me."

Hope this went better than the last time Brett was in Vegas.
