Madison Booker nets 19 as Texas pounds Michigan to return to Final Four

Madison Booker scored 19 points, Rori Harmon had 13 assists and flirted with a triple-double, and top-seeded Texas crushed Michigan 77-41 in an NCAA West Regional final in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday.
Harmon had seven points and seven rebounds and Kyla Oldacre had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the balanced Longhorns (35-3), who will take a 12-game winning streak into their second straight Final Four appearance.
The Longhorns will face UCLA (35-1) in an NCAA semifinal Friday. They handed the Bruins their only loss 76-65 in the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas on Nov. 26.
Texas limited the Wolverines to 22.8% shooting from the field and had a 49-32 rebounding edge.
The Longhorns have held four tournament opponents to 45, 58, 54 and 41 points and outscored them by an average of 36.75 points. They outscored the Wolverines 43-20 in the second half.
Olivia Olson and Mila Holloway scored 11 points apiece for the Wolverines (28-7), who tied the program record for wins in a season but were held to a season-low in points.
Justice Carlton had 13 of her 15 points in the second half and Breya Cunningham added 11 points for the Longhorns. Booker, Cunningham and Carlton also had seven rebounds.
Texas made its first nine field goal attempts to take an 18-4 lead seven minutes into the game. Michigan made its first shot but missed its next 11 and never was closer than 11.
Texas led by 17 in the second quarter and was up 34-21 at half before putting it away with a 21-8 third quarter.
