Marcus Rashford Cannot Be Stopped, Scores Twice On Arsenal In The First Half
Seriously, how did some random kid in Manchester, called up to the United first team purely because of an almost comical, unending stream of injuries, turn into something like the best striker in England in less than a week?
Fresh off his completely unexpected heroics in the Europa League on Thursday, 18-year-old Marcus Rashford is back at it again today in an even bigger match against Arsenal in the Premier League. Lest anyone thought his brace in his first ever game with the first team was a fluke—or at least that the fluke would be constrained to one glorious evening—the kid went and added the two goals you see above, showing off just as much cool finishing and savvy positioning as he did for the two he bagged midweek.
At halftime right now, United are up 2-1 on the title-favored Gunners. There’s no way to tell if these two matches of Rashford’s are the first of a long and illustrious career for the Red Devils or simply a one-off week of wonder, but in either case, he and Manchester United fans will remember this for a long, long time.
