Mets Blow Game, Mets Grounds Crew Blows Rain Delay
Rain forced a 45-minute delay in Queens today as the Mets were an out away from finishing up a win over San Diego. That delay was lifted just long enough for Jeurys Familia to give up the lead thanks to a three-run Justin Upton homer—which forced a bottom of the ninth. Well, that bottom of the ninth will be awhile in coming, since the Mets’ grounds crew couldn’t manage to get the tarp over the infield once the game went back under delay.
