Miguel Cabrera Ejected Mid-At-Bat In First Inning
This is ridiculous. Whatever your thoughts on decorum in baseball or whatever, one of the games best players should not be getting thrown out of the game in the first inning. Maybe if he spit on the ump. Maybe.
But that's exactly what happened here when Miguel Cabrera argued too vociferously, in Brian Gorman's estimation, that he did not swing at a pitch that hit him in the knee that was clearly causing him discomfort.
Gorman tossed him and then he tossed Jim Leyland, who came out to advocate for his player. It was the second time these two teamed up for a double-ejection like this. Enjoy the remaining eight innings of not watching Miguel Cabrera play baseball, everyone.
