The Minnesota state Senate is set to consider a new mobile sports and daily fantasy sports bill.

State Sen. Nick Frentz introduced SB 3414, which would legalize and regulate mobile sports betting in the state. The bill would tie mobile betting and DFS to federally recognized tribes -- 11 in total -- according to the version of the bill posted on the Minnesota state government site.

A legal gambling age of 21 is suggested in the language of the proposed legislation.

Another bill that's been introduced would allow the Minnesota Gambling Control Board to issue up to 11 mobile sports betting operator licenses, per the report. The licenses, valid for 20 years, would go for a $2,125 fee annually.
