Missouri Softball Team Playing Game Under Protest
The fourteenth-ranked Missouri softball team is playing today’s game against South Carolina under protest after players claim an “unjust investigation” is taking place against the program.
Details are sparse-to-nonexistent, and even Missouri Tigers blogs aren’t sure yet exactly what has prompted the protest. Coach Ehren Earleywine is in attendance at the game and is coaching; he was suspended one game in February for a minor NCAA infraction. The ESPNU broadcast did not mention the protest or its reasoning in the intro or beginning of the game.
