NBC Learns What Happens When You Interview Torts During The Game
We don't know why TV networks insist on trying to interview coaches while games are in action—Fox baseball broadcasts, you're the worst culprit—but when NBC's Pierre McGuire tried to get a few words from Rangers chief John Tortorella during today's game against the Bruins, he got one more than he bargained for.
For sure, "goddamn" isn't the worst thing Torts could have said—we all watched 24/7: Flyers/Rangers, after all—but it's a word that sends a certain segment of the viewing public into a letter-writing frenzy. (We think the on-air reaction was perfect.) [NBC]
