New England Finally Lost (At Something)

Well it's not the Patriots, but hey, it's still fun watching the Revolution twist in the wind. For the second consecutive year the Houston Dynamo are champions of Major League Soccer at the expense of the perpetual also-rans from New England.

Joseph Ngwenya and Dwayne De Rosario scored in the second half as Houston rallied for a 2-1 win over New England to claim its second straight MLS Cup on Sunday.

Ngwenya tied the match in the 61st minute and De Rosario added the game-winner in the 74th, and Houston held on to join D.C. United (1996-97) as the only two back-to-back champions in MLS history.

New England, which took the lead on Taylor Twellman's first-half goal, lost in the final for the fourth time in the last six years. The Revolution have never won the MLS Cup.

De Rosario, a confirmed Canadian, took home the Honda MVP award. If you need Bob Kraft he'll be in a warm tub with a fifth of gin Gillette razor blade.
