NFL Update: Back-up Quarterbacks Get Their Shot
It was an eventful day for back-up quarterbacks as Matt Hasselbeck, Eli Manning, Damon Huard and Jon Kitna were all pulled in today's games. Manning was rested from the Seahawks-Giants game due to the fact that the score was humiliating Seattle. Hasselbeck was pulled when it was clear there was no saving the game. The official listed reason for the pull: embarrassment. Huard and Kitna were both pulled for general sucking were and replaced by back-ups Tyler Thigpen and Don Orlovsky. Trent Edwards got KTFO by Adrian Wilson and was carted off the field with a concussion. • Giants 44, Seattle 6. Nothing more to say. • Matt Cassel finally found Randy Moss for a 66 yard touchdown pass. Moss has 2 receptions for 71 yard and is really missing Tom Brady. • Arizona is beating an Edwards-less Buffalo 21-7. San Fran over New England 14-10. Cowboys over the Bengals 17-3. Loudmouth receivers Ocho Cinco and TO have been quiet so far. But they make most of their noise off of the field anyway.
