North Carolina A&T's DaMetrius Upchurch Slams Head Into Court On Contested Dunk
About 10 minutes into the first half of Louisville's dismantling of N.C. A&T in Rupp Arena tonight, the Aggies lost DaMetrius Upchurch to what is surely a concussion after smacking the back of his head on the court.
It looked like the Aggies might have caught a break on a near 10-second violation when a quick outlet found Upchurch streaking to the basket but Chane Behanan—who is now responsible for ruining two dunks—was able to close the gap quickly and contest the shot, fouling Upchurch and sending him to the floor. He landed on his back and whipped his head back on the court, hard. He was helped off the court and Adrian Powell shot his free-throws. Upchurch was dressed, but not in the lineup for the second half.
