Mandatory Credit: Matt Krohn-Imagn Images The Pittsburgh Penguins are off to an impressive start, but they will be without three key pieces for a few weeks due to injuries, including starting goaltender Tristan Jarry.
Jarry, 30, has a lower-body injury and will miss a minimum of three weeks. In seven starts this season, he is 5-2-0 with a 2.60 goals-against average, .911 save percentage and one shutout.
Arturs Silovs (3-2-2, 2.66 GAA, .913 save percentage) will likely see the bulk of the work between the pipes, with Sergei Murashov called up Friday to serve as the 24-year-old's backup.
Forward Justin Brazeau, 27, one of Pittsburgh's leading scorers with 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 12 games, has an upper-body injury and will be out at least four weeks. Danton Heinen was recalled to fill Brazeau's spot up front.
Forward Noel Acciari left Monday's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs with an upper-body injury and will be sidelined a minimum of three weeks. The 33-year-old veteran has three points (all assists) in 13 games.
