Peru Beats New Zealand, Becomes Final Team To Qualify For World Cup
Photo Credit: Enrique Cuneo/ [object Object] Peru defeated New Zealand tonight, 2-0, to qualify for their first World Cup since 1982 and complete next year’s 32-team field.
With goals from Jefferson Farfán and Christian Ramos, Peru got to clinch on their home soil in Lima. They’re the second and final team to land their berth today, after Australia beat Honduras earlier to earn its fourth consecutive trip to the Cup.
Those two teams join a field of Russia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Iran, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Egypt, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Belgium, Germany, England, Spain, Poland, Iceland, Serbia, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Croatia, Sweden and Denmark.
