President Trump to mark 9/11 anniversary at Yankee Stadium

New York's professional baseball teams marked the solemn 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Thursday.
The Yankees announced that President Donald Trump will attend their game against the Detroit Tigers at Yankee Stadium, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.
Pregame ceremonies will recognize the victims and heroes of the 9/11 attacks in 2001 that brought down the Twin Towers in New York, killing nearly 3,000 people.
On Thursday morning, members of the 2001 Mets -- including Todd Zeile, John Franco, Al Leiter and then-manager Bobby Valentine -- continued an annual tradition by visiting a fire station in Manhattan.
The Mets also shared a YouTube video called "11 Days in September: Shea Stadium's Role in the Relief Efforts" to describe the stadium's service as a "hub for relief and healing."
