Alex Orji, who started three games at Michigan in 2024, said Saturday he will play at UNLV.
E.J. Warner, a three-year starter with Temple (2022-23) and Rice (2024), will give Fresno State a veteran presence at the position. He is the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame member Kurt Warner.
Orji appeared in 11 games this season at Michigan, throwing for 150 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He was benched in an Oct. 5 loss to Washington and didn't start again for the Wolverines.
At UNLV, he will play for new coach Dan Mullen and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis.
"It felt like a great opportunity to go out to Vegas with Coach Mullen and Coach Dennis," Orji told ESPN. "It's an opportunity to cultivate winning culture."
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Warner has played in 32 college games, completing 60 percent (796 of 1,327) of his pass attempts for 8,814 yards with 58 touchdowns and 37 interceptions. Last season at Rice, his completion rate was 62 percent for 2,710 yards while throwing 17 touchdown passes with 13 interceptions.
Between Temple and Rice, Warner led the American Athletic Conference in interceptions in each of his three seasons.
