Radio Guy Apologizes For Calling Giants Pitcher An "Illegal Alien"
When the Phillies and Giants sorta-brawled last night, radio guy Tony Bruno (on right in photo) sent out this Tweet: "gutless #!@%*! Giants. Bochy is a coward for having his illegal alien pitcher hit a guy since mighty Frisco boys ..." and quickly deleted it. But nothing's quickly deleted.
There have been numerous posts about his response to Ramon Ramirez hitting Shane Victorino with a pitch, and Bruno's recent professional woes. Like this one on Bay Area Sports Guy. And this one on Rich Lieberman 415 Media. And this one on the Chronicle's Giants blog.
Anyway, Bruno — a Phillies fan working in Cali — apologized, but only somewhat. On Facebook today, he wrote, "I did remove my post and apologize for my comments regarding illegal aliens. I was angry and on the air and I stand behind my comments that Bruce Bochy is a coward, as are all managers who order pitchers to throw at guys just because their pitchers can't get a guy out. All of you people resorting to name calling are more classless and vile."
Because nothing says you regret your knee-jerk, moronic reactions than calling out those who reacted to your idiocy as "classless and vile."
