Rebilas-Imagn Images Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was quick to announce that star wide receiver Davante Adams will not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough due to his left hamstring injury.
McVay, however, did not rule out Adams for Thursday's pivotal NFC West showdown between the Rams (11-3) and the host Seattle Seahawks (11-3).
McVay also announced a bit of personal news during his video conference on Tuesday. He and his wife, Veronika, welcomed son, Christian Alexander, into the world after Sunday's game.
"What a crazy week to be playing on Thursday," he said.
As for Adams, he aggravated his left hamstring injury early in the fourth quarter of Los Angeles' 41-34 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Adams was running a deep route when he began to hobble and went to the ground, burying his face into the turf. He limped off the field with 12:36 left and didn't return.
On Monday, the Rams listed the three-time All-Pro as a non-participant in the estimated practice report with both the hamstring injury and a knee issue.
Adams, who turns 33 on Christmas Eve, has recorded 60 catches for 789 yards and a league-best 14 touchdown receptions in 14 games this season.
A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Adams 1,017 career catches for 12,633 yards and 117 touchdowns in 178 games (171 starts) with the Green Bay Packers (2014-21), Las Vegas Raiders (2022-24), New York Jets (2024) and Rams.
