Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images Cincinnati ace Hunter Greene was removed from the Reds' Wednesday game against the host Atlanta Braves in the bottom of the fourth inning after sustaining a right groin injury.
Reds manager Terry Francona said after his team's 4-3 win, "We are going to get him looked at in the morning. ... I don't think anything happening to him is a good thing, but I don't think (the injury) is bad."
Greene, 25, was warming up to pitch the bottom of the fourth when he bounced a pitch in the dirt and looked into the dugout. Francona and a trainer came to the mound, and Greene was taken to the clubhouse for examination.
Before exiting, Greene allowed two hits and struck out six over three scoreless innings. The right-hander is 4-2 with a 2.36 ERA, 61 strikeouts, eight walks and a 0.810 WHIP in eight starts.

In his fourth season with the Reds, Greene is 22-27 with a 3.74 ERA in 80 starts, having notched 546 strikeouts along with 161 walks and a 1.159 WHIP.
