Report: Aaron Hernandez Told Friend He Shot Odin Lloyd
The Associated Press reports that one Aaron Hernandez friend, Carlos Ortiz, told investigators that Aaron Hernandez admitted shooting Odin Lloyd to fellow friend Ernest Wallace.
This revelation comes in documents filed in Miramar, Fla., to justify a search of Wallace's home, and with confirmation that police found a vehicle in Hernandez's hometown of Bristol, Conn. connected to a 2012 double homicide. Wallace has been arrested and charged with accessory to Lloyd's murder, and was denied bail on Monday.
The portrait of Hernandez that has emerged over the last month is one of a man who is bad at handing over cell phones, and Telephone, and at having friends—Lloyd putting Hernandez in his contacts as "Dis Nigga" was one of the sad details of today's reports—and at both solving conflicts with and without murder. The Massachusetts State Police appear to be building a very strong case against him, and generally seem far, far better at their jobs than Hernandez was in his off-the-field pursuits.
