Report: Galaxy close to signing M Justin Haak

The Los Angeles Galaxy are finalizing a deal to sign free agent defensive midfielder Justin Haak, The Athletic reported on Wednesday.

Haak, 24, is a free agent after a breakout season in 2025 with New York City FC.

He recorded one goal and four assists in 34 matches (all starts) last season. He has two goals and four assists in 81 career matches (57 starts) with NYCFC.

The reported acquisition of Haak comes on the heels of the Galaxy adding All-Star defender Jakob Glesnes from the Philadelphia Union on Dec. 15.
