Reports: Patriots RB Antonio Gibson (ACL) out for season

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson sustained a season-ending knee injury in Sunday night's 23-20 win at Buffalo, according to multiple media reports on Monday.
Gibson, 27, tore his right ACL on a kickoff return during the first half, per the reports. He left the field with assistance and with tears in his eyes, the first real sign of the severity of the injury.
A third-round pick by Washington in the 2020 NFL Draft, Gibson ran for 21 yards against the Bills and finished the season with 25 carries for 106 yards and a rushing touchdown as well as a 90-yard kick return touchdown for the Patriots (3-2).
Over six seasons, Gibson has rushed for 3,287 yards and 24 touchdowns and caught 197 passes for 1,495 yards and seven scores.
Without Gibson, the Patriots are left with Rhamondre Stevenson (team-high 139 yards, two TDs) and rookie second-round pick TreVeyon Henderson (121 yards, one TD) at running back.
