Russian Hockey Team Makes Gold-Medal Worthy Olympics Music Video

Oh my god, oh my god, this video is really too much. Russians! They're so cute and kitschy!

The video for "Shaybu, Shaybu," hopefully the first of many, is interspersed with various moments of Russian glory. But it also has several members of the Russian hockey team—including Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin—singing along to Irina Allegrova's pop gem in support of the Sochi Winter Olympics. Of course, they are most proud of the flashy goals and the hitting—the piece de resistance being a leaping, spinning butt-to-face check. After all, they are still Russian.

With all that pomp and circumstance, one can't help but to get caught up in all the syrupy nationalism. Everyone! All together now! Shaybu, shaybu!
