Saints Cornerback P.J. Williams Carted Off The Field After Colliding With Opponent
New Orleans Saints cornerback P.J. Williams was carted off the field during the first quarter of today’s game after New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell crashed into his neck after a catch.
Williams was going for a low tackle on Donnell when the hit occurred.
Williams stayed down after the play as a teammate waved for medical staff to come to the field. The cornerback was strapped to a board and taken off the field as his teammates kneeled around him.
The Saints announced he will be checked for a concussion:
Fox Sports’ Laura Okmin reported that Williams is alert and breathing.
We’ll update this post if more information becomes available about Williams’s condition.
