Soccer Referee Runs From Furious Players After Match Ends

Brazilian referee Marielson Alves Silva had to flee when some irate Figueirense players confronted him after the end of their 2-1 loss to Internacional.

According to the Daily Mail, two Figueirense players had been sent off the field before Internacional came back from a 1-0 deficit.

Some fans appeared to join the angry rush, but Silva—and his speedy legs—found protection behind a barrier of officers until everyone cooled down.
