Steelers + Motorcycles = Bad News
This image was lost some time after publication. Jealous of all the attention devoted to Ben Roethlisberger and his motorcycle, Steelers offensive lineman Barrett Brooks took to the streets last night. He "drove recklessly around a police car," which is never a good idea.
Barrett ended up getting caught, cuffed, arrested, and charged with reckless driving, driving at an unsafe speed, as well as fleeing and eluding. It's rare that an offensive lineman gets an opportunity to flee and elude. And his lack of experience showed, as the chase lasted only five minutes. It just wasn't a fair fight for the guy.
If he was looking for attention, he forgot the two biggest factors that went into the Roethlisberger incident. One, he failed to smash up his face. And two, and this one is big, people have actually heard of and enjoyed watching Ben Roethlisberger. I don't know too many Barrett Brooks fans.
I'd expect Steelers contracts to start including anti-motorcycle clauses real soon.
