Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) joins Thursday practice

Mandatory Credit: Jayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images Aaron Rodgers made good on his vow to be on the practice field with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, leaving the possibility for him to play Sunday at Chicago on the table for at least another day.
Rodgers has a fracture in his left wrist, which forced him out of last week's 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Backup Mason Rudolph finished the game for the Steelers and is in line to start if Rodgers isn't able.
"Really, it's just about bracing and securing it for his comfort and safety. And then, it's about how functional he is," head coach Mike Tomlin said of his view of Rodgers' status to begin the week.
With the Steelers (6-4) clinging to a slim lead in the AFC North, Pittsburgh could opt to protect Rodgers from further injury.
But Rodgers is more than familiar with the Week 12 opponent, the NFC North-leading Bears (7-3).
If he's able to play, Sunday would be the 30th career game for Rodgers against the Bears. He's 24-5 all-time with 64 touchdowns and 10 interceptions from his time playing the Bears as a Green Bay Packer from 2008-22.
