Striker Scores On Insane Long-Distance Volley
Today's soccer hotness comes from a Champions League match in Sweden, where Malmo's Magnus Eriksson launched a ridiculous left-footed strike from well outside the box over the head of Salzburg goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi. Malmo's keeper launched the ball into a scrum deep in Salzburg territory. Meanwhile, Eriksson was sort of hanging out in open space about 40 yards from goal. When the ball bounced in his direction, he timed his volley beautifully, unleashing a looping shot to beat Gulácsi and give Malmo the 2-0 lead.
Malmo won the match 3-0 and advanced to the Champions League on aggregate, 4-2.
