Superlative Jets Rookie Stephen Hill Dominated Yesterday's Game While Periodically Puking On The Sidelines
Rookie Jets wideout Stephen Hill wowed anyone within a one-hundred-mile radius of East Rutherford yesterday, catching five passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns. He was the first player to catch two touchdowns in his debut since 2005. But imagine what he could have done if he were healthy? Rich Cimini explains:
Turns out that the rookie wide receiver, when he wasn't catching passes and scoring touchdowns, was puking on the bench. Hill apparently played the game with a bit of a bug.
"He got sick a couple of times on the sideline," Rex Ryan said Monday. "He showed that toughness, which you knew he had."
Meanwhile, Jacksonville's Justin Blackmon, Arizona's Michael Floyd, Tennessee's Kendall Wright, and San Francisco's A.J. Jenkins—the four wide receivers selected in the first round—combined for eight catches, 61 yards, and zero touchdowns yesterday. And they were all not suffering from stomach bugs. So yeah. Stephen Hill is good.
