Swedish Hockey Player Left Bloody And Unconscious After Hit In Game
Sebastian Karlsson was in a bloody heap after Richie Regehr's hit in the third period of a play-in game between Swedish Hockey League teams Linköpings HC and Modo Hockey.
Regehr's shoulder caught Karlsson in the side of the head, knocking him out and causing his head to bounce off of the ice. There was quite a bit of blood.
Karlsson was helped off of the ice and transported in an ambulance to a hospital; Regehr received a match penalty.
