T1 defeats Top Esports to win Esports World Cup

Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports T1 took down Top Esports 3-1 in the grand final of the Esports World Cup's League of Legends tournament on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
T1 won the inaugural event and will bring home $400,000 of the $1 million prize pool. Top Esports settled for a $200,000 second prize.
For the second straight round, T1 fell behind 1-0 before digging out of their hole. Top Esports claimed a 23-minute win on blue, but T1 stormed back with a 26-minute win on blue, a 39-minute win on red and a 29-minute win on red for the title.
T1 star Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok of South Korea was named tournament MVP.
All matches in the single-elimination bracket were best-of-three leading up to the best-of-five grand final.
