At first, we found the Houston Astros' nightly slapstick routine to be rather endearing, and it was easy to have laugh at their repeated shenanigans. But then, through no fault but their own, the Astros couldn't even run out simple ground balls without one of their own getting hurt.
And now that no one's watching, the Astros have officially become a menace, which the Cubs' Anthony Rizzo had the misfortune of discovering last night, thanks to the chain reaction triggered by Jimmy Paredes's errant throw to first. No wonder Roger Clemens won't commit to boarding this train wreck. Enough is enough. The Astros must be stopped.
