The Blue Jays Clanged A Bushel Of Dongers Off Yu Darvish
Yu Darvish is in the process of serving up a plate of nice tasty meatballs for Blue Jays hitters to feast on. Troy Tulowitzki first took Darvish deep in the second inning for a pair of runs, after which the Rangers managed to claw one back to make it a one-run game. So Toronto responded by pinging three balls out of the park in the top of the fifth inning, much like the Indians did to the Red Sox last night.
Here is a supercut of the last three dingers.
Darvish has never given up four dingers in a single game before, and the Jays have now crushed six dongs in the first 14 innings of the ALDS. Kevin Pillar and Ezequiel Carrera, who hit the first two homers, only combined for 13 all year.
